20–22 May 10.00-18.00

Spring Steam festival brings design-minded people to Kellohalli, celebrating the 90th anniversary of Aalto University’s Visual Communication Design Programme and the graphic design in Finland.

The field of visual communication steams ahead in the four-day exhibition I Used to Be a Graphic Designer. The exhibition will include a selection of works by current students, as well as pieces from the Aalto University archives that span the 90 years of the department history, from 1920s until 2000s. Individual and collective works on display include video, animation, illustration, packaging and web design.

As part of the festival programme, professional designers, illustrators and researchers of local and international renown will participate in discussions, lead seminars, and present their work. On the weekend, Spring Steam 2016 programme offers activities for adults and for families’ youngest members.

See you in Kellohalli!
