Description

UWAS EXPERIMENTS offers a series of vignettes into the different facets of University-Wide Art Studies (UWAS). Like UWAS itself, the exhibition is a work-in-progress, an opportunity to make and remake connections between ways of knowing, thinking, and doing. As such, it is an invitation to generate new thoughts and attitudes concerning art, design, and education in Aalto University and beyond.

UWAS EXPERIMENTS is a processual exhibition that unfolds gradually during the two weeks it is open. Upon its opening on May 3, it presents works from three UWAS courses together with research material produced by the members of the UWAS working group. On two consecutive Wednesdays (May 9 and May 16) the UWAS working group will relocate its office to the exhibition space, making it possible for everybody to ask questions about UWAS and participate in developing its present as well as future practices. On May 11, yet another UWAS course brings their work to the exhibition space.
